Research is the process of locating and evaluating information. But
once you have narrowed your topic, choosen your sources, separated fact
from opinion, eliminated unnecessary information, and organized your
material, what then?
The purpose of reseach is to inform outcomes, but rarely do we
centrally collect and document the long-term effects of research. The
Granary seeks to change that by bringing together the outcomes of all
this labour. If a study of farmers in Meru (Central Kenya) led to a
change in the practices they employed in their farms, which in turn led
to an increase in the long term fertility of the land, the availability
of these results could help farmers in Migori(Western Kenya) adjust
their farming methods. It is only when we see how great an impact there
is that we inspire current and future generations to invest in the
pursuit of knowledge,
