FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON AFRICAN DIGITAL LIBRARIES & ARCHIVES (ICADLA-1)

Held 1 – 3 July 2009 - ( Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ) “Connecting Africans to Their Own Resources: Developing Policies and Strategies for Africa’s Digital Future” .

The conference was attended by Ms. Jane Kimbwarata - IPAR Resource Centre Manager.The Conference was all about sensitising information professionals to take up digitisation of African content and making it freely accessible. Workshop resolutions was that  ‘no knowledge, no development’.
